Java Developer

The role of the Java Developer is to design, develop and deploy Java based business solutions. The Java Developer will be involved in designing, coding, documenting, testing and deployment of software and web-based applications.

What you need to qualify:

• Knowledge of web servers
• Knowledge of XML parsing, querying and validation
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Working knowledge of windows tools including Visio
• Knowledge of open source software development, integration and release methodologies
• Knowledge of the underlying protocols that encrypt data and protect websites
• Ability to produce and revise online content, ensuring consistency with Web standards
• Ability to draw out information and develop in-depth understanding of complex processes
• Ability to determine/refine business requirements
• Ability to suggest alternative approaches
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities
• Ability to take the initiative under conditions of ambiguity
